Pune: A 25-year-old youth who came to Pune in search of job ended his life by hanging himself at his friend’s house in Rajendra Nagar area of Vishrambaug on Monday afternoon. A case was registered at Vishrambaug police station.

The deceased youth has been identified as Avinash Waghmode, 25, a resident of Solapur who arrived in the city 4-5 days ago and was living at his friend’s house at PMC Colony in Rajendra Nagar. His friend was not in the city and has gone to his village for a function.

According to the Vishrambaug police, the deceased was a BCom graduate and came to the city in search of a job. He even appeared for an interview. The deceased hanged himself from the ceiling of his friend’s house.

The incident came to light when a neighbour found the body hanging from the roof.
