PUNE: Karishmaa Care Foundation (KCF) has organised an exhibition to uplift the poor, underprivileged and the impoverished population in rural Maharashtra on Friday and Saturday at Boat Club Poolside in Pune. 

This is the third time when they have taken an initiative to organise an exhibition to support and empower rural women and girls and children of the farmers. The entry is free for all.

The exhibition has around 50 stalls out of which 10 stalls are of women from rural areas. These stalls include items from rural areas. Rest of the 40 stalls have participants from Pune which will include games and various workshops. Whatever funds are generated from these stalls will be used for supporting rural women and children. 

The amount charged from the stalls will remain with the charity. The table charges which have been paid by city dwellers will go to charity as well and the profit earned will remain with rural women participants.  Karishmaa Care Foundation has adopted 100 children in six months who were below the poverty line. 

They are good in studies but cannot afford school fees, shoes, bags and books. It has also started a project named ‘Kshakti’ last year where they are supporting mentally and emotionally weak women. 

Neelam Tuteja, Founder of Karishmaa Care Foundation, says, “We are focusing more on raising funds from the exhibition rather than on workshops. As we want more and more people to come and join hands with us in this exhibition. We also want the youngsters to come forward and participate in social work.”
