Mahavitaran instals 295 solar agri pumps

PUNE: The installation of 295 solar-powered agriculture pumps by Mahavitaran in Mulshi, Manchar, and Rajugurunagar has come as a boon to the farmers. 

It will reduce the cost of electricity and diesel used for water pumps. Likewise, it will be a sustainable solution too. 

Under Chief Minister Solar Krishi Pump Scheme, these pumps have been installed and 55 solar agriculture pumps are in pipeline. Out of these pumps, 243 of them are of 3 horsepower capacity while 52 of them are 5 horsepower capacity.

These pumps also have a battery charging facility which will enable farmers to use the electricity during the night.These pumps require no fuel or conventional electricity. Therefore, they will not face any problem of power supply breakdown and the cost of maintainence too is extremely low.
