MP Supriya Sule initiates social media campaign for clean city

Pune: NCP MP Supriya Sule has started a clean city campaign on social media. She appealed to citizens to upload garbage-related pictures on Twitter and Facebook so that the corporation can take cognisance of photos and clean up the garbage. 

Sule issued a press note saying, “We have decided to start clean city campaign with the help of Facebook and Twitter. It is limited to Pune city. We appealed to youngster to participate in the campaign and upload pictures on Facebook and Twitter. For Twitter, people should use hashtag #SmartCityGarbage and tag @PMCPune and @supriya_Sule and use hashtag @PMCPune and @supriyaSule on facebook.” 

Suresh Jagtap, Head of Solid Waste Management of PMC said, “We are trying to keep the city clean. This campaign will help us make the city clean.”

Last month, the State government issued directives to all cities, they were asked to declare their rank with star rating in making a clean and garbage-free city. PMC has fixed it in five-star rating on the given 10 criteria.
