MSEDCL files complaint against G Next Solutions

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has lodged a police complaint at Wanavdi police station against G Next Solution, a meter reading agency, for submitting zero meter reading for 7,709 electricity consumers in the month of August.

Meanwhile, the arrears will be added in electricity bill of September and Mahavitaran has assured consumers that they will not get a separate bill.

According to MSEDCL, the responsibility of meter readings of electricity consumers is of M/s G Next Tech Solution, Bhosari. The agency is responsible for carrying out meter readings in Lullanagar, Netaji Nagar and Salukhevihar road area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Rastapeth office.

“It has been observed that the agency has made a mistake while carrying out meter readings for the month of August. Due to this, 7,709 electricity consumers of Lullanagar, Netaji Nagar, Salunkhe Vihar road, Samata Colony, Kubera Park, Sindh Hind Colony, Kedari Nagar, Ethiopia Society, Ganga Satellite Society, Green Valley and other areas were given electricity bills showing zero units in the month of August,” said a senior engineer of MSEDCL of Rastapeth office.

He added, “MSEDCL has incurred revenue losses of Rs 1.72 crore and consumers are also suffering due to incorrect electricity bills. Mahavitaran has taken a serious note of this and has filed a criminal complaint against M/s G Next Tech Solution’s Meter Reading Agency in Wanavdi police station.”

7,709 consumers, who earlier received incorrect electricity bills, will now be given suitable electricity usage bills in September. MSEDCL has appealed to the consumers to cooperate with them.
