PUNE: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has entered into an agreement with Pebbles Infra-Tech Private Ltd for development of multi-level car parking (MLCP) with integrated commercial facilities on DBOM Basis (construction-cum-licence to operate and maintain) at Pune Airport.

“Currently, Pune Airport handles more than 6.7 million passengers annually. The proposed MLCP will be of international standards and provide parking facilities for 1,000 vehicles in line with the proposed expansion of terminal building. The MLCP is scheduled to be operational in 24 months,” said a spokesperson of AAI.

The agreement was signed by SD Tiwari, Joint GM (Business Development) with the developer in the presence of S Suresh, Member (Finance), Anil Gupta, ED (Land Management & Business Development, Chandra Shekhar, DGM (BD) and other officials of AAI, Pebbles Infra-Tech Private Ltd and DIMTS, the transaction advisor of AAI.

The new multi-level parking facility will be constructed at parking number one. The parking lot will serve several purposes. Once the building is constructed, it will take far less space compared to now and the number of vehicles that can be parked will also increase.
