Mumbai company wins tender for new Pashan-Sus flyover

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE  Valecha Engineering Limited, a Mumbai-based construction company mainly involved in road construction, has won the bidding for construction of Pashan-Sus flyover with the least amount of Rs 41.34 crore. The Standing Committee of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) gave its nod for it on Tuesday.

It was found that the existing bridge is insufficient for the rising vehicular traffic in the area. Consequently, many suggested that two flyovers should be built for proper traffic management in the area.

The length of the flyover will be 122 metres while its width will be of 9 metres. As per the bidding proposal, the project will be completed in two-and-half years. The project will reduce traffic going toward Hinjawadi IT Park.
