Navsahyadri Group of Instts holds HR Meet

Pune: In order to minimise the gap between the academia and industry and to ensure high standards of professionalism in all walks of life, Navsahyadri Group of Institutes (NESGI), Naigaon, Nasrapur, Pune had organised its third Human Resource (HR) Meet – ‘Need for Enhancing Skills for Industry 4.0’, on September 8.

Over 55 HR managers, industry veterans, business leaders, academicians, entrepreneurs from different industry in the region including a few selected students participated in the event.

PN Suke, President, Navsahyadri Education Society, Nitesh Singh, Director of Cloud Operations in Silicus Technology Pvt Ltd, Pune, IT Park Aundh and KS Charak, Director of Faculty of Management, Navsahyadri Group of Institutes were present at the event.

The second session of the HR Meet was a panel discussion on ‘Skill Development vs Skill Enhancement’ which comprised of panellist from industry and academia. Vijay Chandras, Factory Head of Superpaint Pvt Ltd, Rohit Ghosh, Founder Director of The Pedagogy and RJ Patil, Principal of Faculty of Engineering were at the panel. 

Discussion on various topics like organisations struggle for ‘hard skills’ or ‘soft skills’, organisation stresses on ‘skill development’ or ‘skill enhancement’, if skill development should be pushed back to academia or to stay with industry, etc were held.
