NEP will develop entrepreneurship skills among students: Abhay Jere

PUNE: The New Education Policy (NEP) will help curb unemployment and develop entrepreneurship skills in students. It will also help in developing cognitive, problem solving and thinking ability skills among students, said Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), Ministry of Human Resource Development HRD, Abhay Jere.

He was addressing a session during the National HRD Network (NHRDN) – 6th Learning and Development Summit held at Amphitheater in Fergusson College, here in the city on Wednesday.

Speaking further, Jere said, “As a major intervention by the Ministry of HRD, we are focusing on the effective implementation of the internship policy in India, similarly government too is encouraging courses such as MBA in innovation and entrepreneurship, through which we will get more young entrepreneurs.”

“Government has been also committed to developing national innovation and entrepreneurs policy for faculty members of the colleges and universities,”  added Jere.
