NGO founder president targeted by bomb parcel

Pune: Pune based Sanjay Nahar, founder president of NGO Sarhad which runs educational institute for Kashmiri children especially whose parents have been killed, was the target of the parcel bomb which exploded at the office of a courier company in Ahmednagar on Tuesday night. 

The incident took place around 10 pm at the office Maruti Courier Service Pvt Ltd in Maliwada area of Ahmednagar. 

According to Ahmednagar police, someone had deposited the parcel for delivery to Nahar, around 7 pm. There were three staffs in the office when it exploded around 10 pm, when one of the staffs was putting in a box for delivery. There was explosion and all three staffers sustained injuries, they are admitted to a nearby hospital. 

Meanwhile, anti-terrorism squad (ATS) and intelligence agencies have contacted Nahar for details. “I have been approached by police and other agencies. I can't share more details at present as investigations are going on”, Nahar said.
