Notorious criminal booked under MPDA Act

Pune: A notorious criminal has been booked under Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act by the Khadaki police. The accused was booked after he went on a crime spree despite being jailed for two years in Yerwada prison.

The accused has been identified as Manoj Jadhav, 31, a resident of Ganesh Nagar in Bopodi. Jadhav has been booked for murder, attempt to murder, extortion as well as other serious crimes by the Khadki police in the past. He was imprisoned in Yerwada jail for two years for cases booked against him at Khadki police station.

According to the Khadaki police, Jadhav was released on bail two months ago but he continued indulging in criminal activities. After getting released from prison, he threatened locals residing in Bopodi using a chopper.
