'Orbitheatrum' celebrated at Orbis School

PUNE: The Orbis School, Keshav Nagar, recently celebrated annual cultural presentation, Orbitheatrum, with aplomb. The four-day long festival named 'Orbitheatrum' saw students from Class V to VIII display their theatrical skills and enthral the spectators with their plays.

Orbitheatrum began with performances of Class VIII students on the first day. The students put together a play that displayed the rich cultural heritage and diversity of Africa.

Chief Guest, senior advocate Pratibha Ghorpade, commended the students saying, “These students have done a wonderful job in putting together this play.”

On the second day, the students of Class VII performed a dance-drama on 'South America: The Rhythm of life'. The performance was praised by the Chief Guest Sarfaraz Potia.

Day three saw Class VI students educate the spectators on North American countries through traditional dances and performances about the discovery of America and the folklore of Mexico.

On the last day, Class V students performed an hour-long play on Europe and the stories of the brave seafarers like Vasco da Gama, Marco Polo and Christopher Columbus.
