Panel to study bill for ban on cut practice in medical treatment

PUNE: In a Government Resolution (GR) issued by the State government on Tuesday, a committee has been appointed to study the proposed bill for prohibition of cut practice in medical treatment.

As per the GR, the five-member committee will be headed by the minister of medical education. Other members of the committee will be ministers of finance, energy, environment, employment guarantee and assistant secretary or deputy secretary  for medical education. 

After a meeting on Tuesday, the committee was appointed to draft the resolution which will restrict concerned people from taking undue advantage of Maharashtra health schemes.

In the previous meeting held on July 19, 2018, the proposal of a committee was pending with the State government. This committee was expected to draft a resolution to check cut practice in the State.
