Patil Asks Officials To Complete Panchanama By Wednesday

PUNE: Following the approval of a relief package of Rs  10,000 crore by the State Government for farmers affected due to post-monsoon rains, Pune Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil on Monday asked officials to complete the panchanama process of crop loss by Wednesday.

Patil took  a review of crop loss situation and visited Bivri, Bopdev, Chambali, Hivre and other areas in Pune district. He said the assessment should be completed by Wednesday and the administration should increase the number of staffers involved in the assessment.

“Although currently the State government has approved an assistance package of Rs 10,000 crore for rain-affected farmers. Based on the assessment we can ask for more help from the Centre,” added Patil.

Officials said the affected crops include paddy, soyabean, corn and others.
