ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: IPS officer Sandip Patil, on Sunday, took charge as Superintendent of Pune rural Police. He took over charge from Suvez Haque, who has been transfered to Mumbai. While speaking to mediapersons on Monday afternoon, Patil said that he will be focussing on controlling crime against women and crimes in the industrial area.

“I have observed that preventive detention methods and acts like MCOCA and MPDA Act have worked well to bring crime under control. Similarly, it is important to keep a watch on crimes in the industrial belt,” added Patil. He assured that he will be accessible to general public and public representatives.
