PIMPRI: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has offered Rs 155 crore for extending the metro project from Pimpri to Nigdi.

The 4.413-km-long route will have metro stations at Chinchwad station, Akurdi and Nigdi. The extended project is estimated to cost Rs 1,048 crore which will include land acquisition, project work and shifting of various cables.

PCMC Mayor Rahul Jadhav said that a meeting with the leader of the opposition and group leaders in the civic body will be held in Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar's office to provide details of the Pimpri-Nigdi metro project.
