Plastic bottle kiosk installed at Pune airport

PUNE: The Pune Airport Authority has set up a plastic bottle kiosk inside the terminal building for passengers to throw used drinking water bottles. The new kiosk was inaugurated by Regional Director Western Region of Airport Authority of India (AAI) G Chanderamouli. Nevertheless, soon, the authority will install a plastic bottle crushing machine in the airport premises.

The kiosk was installed in the departure and arrival area. This will help passengers to throw the plastic bottles after use. This is the first kind of initiative towards green environment by the Pune Airport Authority.

The kiosk has been set up inside the terminal building and passengers can throw the used water bottles in it. The bottles will be collected and will be disposed of.
