According to the official notification, Pune will now have 41 wards represented by 165 corporators. Out of all objections received, 1,329 were accepted in full, 69 partially, and 4,524 were rejected. Based on these revisions, 12 wards underwent boundary changes, and 8 wards were renamed to reflect local identities better.

To enhance community unity and create sensible ward boundaries, several boundary adjustments have been made. For example, the Shinde Vasahat area, which was once part of Ward No. 18 (Wanowrie-Salunke Vihar), has now been included in Ward No. 14 (Koregaon Park-Ghorpadi-Mundhwa) to resolve the previous separation caused by a road divider. Similarly, the area opposite Magarpatta City Road, formerly in Ward No. 14, has been moved to Ward No. 17 (Ramtekdi-Malwadi-Vaiduwadi).

In the southern region of Pune, areas such as Bibwewadi-Mahesh Society, including Punyainagar and K.K. Market, have been reassigned from Ward No. 20 to Ward No. 38 (Balaji Nagar-Ambegaon-Katraj), which now has five representatives.

To accommodate this change, the Sukhsagarnagar area from the same ward has been moved to Ward No. 39 (Upper Super-Indiranagar). Similarly, Thite Vasti has been relocated from Ward No. 15 (Manjari Budruk-Keshavnagar-Sade Satara Nali) to Ward No. 4 (Kharadi-Wagholi) following persistent requests from citizens during hearings.

Eight wards have been renamed to more accurately reflect their local identity and geography. For example, Kalas-Dhanori is now called Kalas-Dhanori-Lohgaon Remaining, and Bibwewadi-Mahesh Society has been changed to Shankar Maharaj Math-Bibwewadi. Other wards that have been renamed include Koregaon Park-Ghorpadi-Mundhwa, Manjari Budruk-Keshavnagar-Sade Satara Nali, and Balaji Nagar-Ambegaon-Katraj.

Despite many protests from residents in the central peth areas, the Commission chose to keep the current boundaries, citing ease of administration and consistency.

The declaration of the final ward structure paves the way for the state government to schedule elections. Once the election dates are set, political activity in Pune is anticipated to intensify as parties gear up for competitions in the city's newly defined wards.
