PMC Spent Rs 53.34L On Disaster Training Last yr

Pune: The Disaster Management Cell of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has claimed that they have spent at least Rs 53.34 lakh to train citizens on disaster-related awareness programmes in the last year.

The PMC Disaster Management Cell has the responsibility of forming citizens relief groups. 

The cell has imparted training, conducted mock drills and executed various disaster management 
awareness programmes to help citizens in the event of disasters. 

According to PMC officials, as many as Rs 53.34 lakh were spent on disaster awareness programmes in about one year.

The campaigns were organised at school and college-level and capacity building for the officers and staff of the PMC. 

The programmes were also organised for other citizens.
