PMRDA acquires 4.5 ha land in Hinjawadi

PUNE: Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) officials have acquired  4.52 hectares land in Hinjawadi for the Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 project.

To resolve the issue of traffic congestion faced by people  working in the Information Technology Park, Hinjawadi, PMRDA had initiated the Metro line 3 project. An area of 18.93 hectares in Mauje Man, Mulshi taluka was required for the project, out of which 4.52 hectares land has been acquired. A team of PMRDA officials took possession after completing the sale deed and compensation of Rs 40,76,01,000 has been disbursed to the farmers.

The completion of the proposed Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar line which comes under PMRDA was getting delayed due to hurdles in land acquisition and officials of PMRDA were constantly in touch with the concerned stakeholders to resolve the issue.
