Podar International School celebrates 10th anniv

PUNE: The Podar International School in Ambegaon celebrated its 10th anniversary recently with year-long activities and programmes to mark the occasion.

The jubilant culmination was organised in three sessions at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch on February 7 under the theme ‘Malgudi Days’ for primary section and ‘Nrityatarang’ for secondary section.

The event was a medley of dance, orchestra and drama. 

Eminent personalities like Ashutosh Nerlekar, a well-known writer, actor and director of many Marathi plays, Yogita Godbole, a professional playback singer, and Vijay Patwardhan, a renowned writer, actor and director of many serials, plays and films were part of the shows.

The school was established in 2009 with only 79 students under the aegis of Podar Education Network. The perfect blend of academics and co-curricular activities has helped it grow to a strength of 2,854 students.

Principal Anagha Gholap informed that the school has won ‘The Little Geniuses Award’ for four consecutive years. The school boasts of 100 per cent result in Std 10 CBSE exam since the first year the students appeared for the board exam in 2015, in addition to good performance in sports, and co-curricular activities.
