Pune: Police Kaka awareness campaign was recently organised at Sinhagad Institute of Management and Computer Applications (SIMCA).

PSI Rakesh Bhamre, Police Constable Kailas Mohol, Police Constable Tapare and Director, SIMCA Dr Milind Marathe, were present on the occasion. The objective of the campaign was to enlighten the students about their safety.

On the occasion, Tapare insisted that students should be aware and updated on human rights. “No student should tolerate ragging and other injustice on them, within or outside the campus. Students should immediately make a complaint to the concerned police department in case of any such instance,” he added.

PSI Rakesh Bhamre enlightened students on various crimes committed by students, how students get distracted, and what could be the consequences of falling prey to such traps. He also discussed cyber crimes and advised students not to disclose their bank account numbers and any other details to fake callers.

Constable Kailas Mohol is appointed as the official Police Kaka for the students of SIMCA. The students are given the contact details of Mohol, and in case of any emergencies, they can seek his help directly.
