Post Induction Training School inaugurated for DRDO scientists

PUNE: The Post Induction Training School (POINTS)-22 programme was inaugurated by BP Sharma, IAS (Retd), Chairman RAC at DIAT(DU), on Monday, at the POINTS Auditorium of Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (Deemed University).

The post induction training school is a programme for the freshly inducted DRDO scientists. This programme basically covers all the activities of the DRDO, which all the scientists should know before joining their respective labs. Dr RN Pralhad, Programme Director, gave details about the 14-week programme, which includes General Organization and Orientation Training (GOOT) programme wherein all the director generals (7 clusters), corporate directors of DRDO, will introduce organisational activities.

As part of this programme, scientists will also be exposed to motivational talks from Industry and Academia while four weeks of intense training on cluster-wise (Missile, Aero, Armaments, Electronics, Computers & Life Science) is also planned.
