ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: The Dattawadi and Vishrambaug police  helped a tourist from West Bengal, who had forgotten his bag containing a camera and other valuables in an autorickshaw, get it back on Sunday.

Shankar Prasad De and his son, both residents of Kolkata came to visit Pune on Sunday. They used to hire rickshaws to visit places in the city.

They had hired an autorickshaw from Vadgaon Budruk and kept their bag at the back of the seat of the autorickshaw.

The driver dropped them at Shaniwarwada and left. After a few minutes, De realized that he has forgotten the bag in the autorickshaw. They rushed to Vishrambaug police station. The cops scanned the CCTV footage of the area and got the registration number of the autorickshaw. They asked De and his son to visit Dattawadi police station under whose jurisdiction the autorickshaw driver resides.

Accordingly, Dattawadi police traced the autorickshaw and returned the bag with valuables to the tourists.
