Pune heaves sigh of relief as COVID positivity rate goes down

It seems that the graph of COVID-19 is flattening its curve in the city

Pune: Pune, the city which was once the epicentre of the novel coronavirus is showing some positive signs in case of new cases.

It seems that the graph of COVID-19 is flattening its curve in the city as the positivity rate of COVID cases has gone down in recent days.

The positivity rate in Pune is reducing and is near the edge of 20 per cent mark. The total positivity rate has gone down to 20.3 per cent with 1, 73,155 positive cases out of 8, 52,801 tests conducted till December 10, as per a report by Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

The city which eas the hotspot for the spread of novel virus has significantly seen the fatality rate going down in recent days. The case fatality rate is at 2.61 per cent and gradually decreasing.

The city reported almost 300 new cases taking the total to 1, 83,893 and five fatalities taking the death toll to 4,344.
