Both teams reached the spot soon after the alert and began tracking the animal across the neighbourhood. Officials said they are fully equipped and prepared to capture the leopard safely if it remains in the area.

Residents have been advised to stay cautious, avoid stepping out alone during early mornings and late evenings, and remain aware of their surroundings. While there have been no fresh sightings since the early-morning report, forest officials said the area will continue to be monitored through the night.

Deputy Conservator of Forests Mahadev Mohite urged citizens not to panic or spread unverified information. He appealed to people to immediately report any suspicious movement or leopard-related updates to the helpline 1926.
