A complaint has been registered against a minor boy with the Pimpri- Chinchwad police station for spying from the window inside a young married couple’s bedroom in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Pune Police has booked the minor after the woman filed a complaint against the boy who was peeping into her bedroom when she saw him at the window.

According to the police officials, the woman works as a caretaker of kids in Pune. 

“We first registered a case and seized the phone. Upon checking his ID, we realised that he was a minor, a 17-year-old boy. We are still checking if he had made any recording of the incident,” CM Borkar, sub-inspector and in-charge of the police station in Dehu Road told HT Media.

Borkar and his team of officers are investigating the case to get more leads on the incident. However, the teenager boy was not arrested straight away by the police.

According to the complaint lodged by the woman, the incident took place on Wednesday at around 1.30 am. The woman also mentioned to the police officials that she was in her bedroom along with her husband when she suddenly saw someone at her window. When she noticed carefully and closely, she was shocked to see the young teenager trying to peep in. She said that it was a major invasion of privacy as he was peeping in with an intention to catch their private moments.

“Their houses are only a separation away. The boy lives next door,” PSI Borkar added.

The Dehu Road police station has booked the minor under IPC (Indian Penal Code) Section 354(b) (assault or making use of criminal power on women with the intention of denuding).
