Pune: Miscreants vandalise vehicles in Pashan area; police suspect robbery motive

Pune: Miscreants have vandalised nine vehicles parked on Pashan road by citizens who go for a morning walk on the Chatuhshrungi hill. The vehicles were parked on the stretch between Center for Police Research and Abhimanshree Society. The incident took place on Sunday morning 6am to 7am.

A case has been registered regarding this incident at the Chatuhshrungi police station. The damage caused to vehicles is more than Rs 85 thousand. A 47-year-old citizen has filed the complaint in this regard and on basis of this complaint, unidentified suspects have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

According to police, several citizens go for a morning walk on the Chatuhshrungi hill. These citizens park their vehicles on the Pashan Road on the stretch between Abhimanshree Society and Center for Police Research.

On Sunday (January 24) morning, unidentified suspects broke the windows of the car and stole mobile and cash from the complainant's car. Similar to the complainant's car, nine other cars were also damaged and valuables and cash worth Rs 85 thousand has been stolen.
