Pune Navratri Fest from Sept 21

PUNE: This year the Pune Navratri Festival, is celebrating its 23rd year. The festival will be inaugurated by Sharad Pawar, former Union agriculture minister on September 21 at 5.30 pm, at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, Swargate. 

The fest is dedicated to Late Indira Gandhi and is organised by Aba Baghul, former deputy mayor and President, Pune Navratri Festival.

The fest will conclude on September 30. There will be various progarmmes arranged from 7 pm including ‘Jara yaad karo kurbani’ on September 22, ‘The great show man’ on September 23, Lavani fest from 12 am to 12 pm on September 24, ‘Garja Maharashtra Majha’ on September 25, ‘Jeevan Geet’ on September 26, ‘Wo kaun thi’ on September 27, ‘Tichi Geet’ on September 28, ‘Sangeet Rajni’ on September 29 and ‘Suhana Safar’ on September 30.

On this occasion, renowned personalities who perform skillful work in various fields including Subodh Bhave, actor, Mona Meshram, cricketer, and others will be honoured with Shri Lakshmi Mata Art-Cultural Life Honour Award. 

Bagul said, “Along with the Shri Lakshmi Mata Art-Cultural Life Honour Award, nine women from various fields will be honoured by Shaurya Puraskar.”
