Pune, 22nd May 2026: Residents of Pashan and Sus are set to get major traffic relief as work has finally begun on the long-awaited connectivity link ramp connecting the Pashan-Sus flyover to the service road of Pune-Mumbai highway.
The project is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and make commuting safer and faster for thousands of daily motorists in the area.
At present, vehicles travelling from Pashan towards the highway service road are forced to continue till the end of the flyover and take a U-turn, resulting in longer travel time, fuel wastage, and frequent congestion. To avoid the extra distance, many motorists often drive on the wrong side, creating serious safety risks and increasing the chances of accidents.
The new ramp will provide a direct connection to the service road, helping commuters avoid unnecessary detours and reducing traffic pressure on the existing route. Once completed, each motorist is expected to save nearly two kilometers of travel distance.
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is carrying out the project at a cost of around ₹8.03 crore. The work has been assigned to M/s Shri Associates Infrastructure Limited, and the civic body has set a deadline of one year for completion.
