Chatushringi Police have booked seven Nepali nationals including one domestic servant in connection with the crime.

According to the police complaint filed by constable Umesh Koli, the accused tied up Pooja Khedkar and drugged her parents, Dilip and Manorama Khedkar, rendering them unconscious. Valuables were then stolen from cupboards inside the house.

When police reached the spot, they found Khedkar’s parents lying unconscious on their bed. Three staff members, security guard Jitendra Singh, driver Dadasaheb Dhakane, and cook Sujit Roy, were also found unconscious in another room.

Police suspect that a Nepali domestic worker, hired around ten to twelve days ago, mixed sedatives in the food and helped carry out the robbery. Senior Inspector Uttam Bhajanawale said the case is being thoroughly investigated to understand how the crime was planned and executed.
