Pune Railway Division Loco Department working uninterrupted to ensure supply of essential commodities

PUNE: Ensuring the smooth transportation of goods supplies, Indian Railways were taking every effort through its uninterrupted freight services across the country. Apparently, all the passenger trains in the country have been suspended till April 14 owing to corona virus outbreak. 

The Pune Railway Division Loco Department working round the clock to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, on Tuesday as many as 11 movements were completed in the division.

An official from Pune division said, "Owing to the lockdown Indian Railways has deployed staff at various good sheds, stations and control offices and working 24/7 to check that the supply of essential items for the nation does not get affected. Loco Pilots from Pune division are operating goods from Lonavala to Pune, Pune station to Miraj and Daund to Pune station."

However, the railway employees of the division faced problems to reach Pune station or yards. As per the sources majority of the staff came to work.
