Pune Records Increase in Day Temperatures; IMD Predicts Further Rise This Weekend

Minimum temperatures remain steady around 14–15°C, while maximum temperatures are rising; cool mornings, hot afternoons to continue as mercury crosses 34°C

Pune, 12 February 2026: City has been witnessing stable minimum temperatures over the past two days, while maximum temperatures have gradually increased. Though mornings and nights continue to feel cool, residents are experiencing intense heat during the afternoons.

On Wednesday (February 11), the city recorded a minimum temperature of 14°C and a maximum of 32°C. The weather has created a mixed pattern, with pleasant early hours followed by sharp sunshine later in the day.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is unlikely to be any significant change in weather conditions over the next two days. The heat is expected to persist.

On Thursday (February 12), both minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to remain stable at around 15°C and 32°C respectively. The sky is expected to remain mainly clear, with a possibility of light mist in the morning.

From Friday (February 13), however, temperatures are expected to rise further. The maximum temperature may reach 33°C on Friday and is likely to touch 34°C over the weekend, including Sunday. Minimum temperatures are also expected to climb to around 17°C.

"The days are noticeably warm. The mercury has stayed above 30°C in Pune over the last few days. The maximum temperature is likely to climb to 33°C on Friday and further rise to 34°C over the weekend," IMD officials said.
