Pune sees 33.04 per cent voting till 3 pm

Pune: Pune constituency recorded 33.04 per cent of voting till 3 pm, while the Baramati constituency surged ahead of Pune by eight per cent with 41.75 per cent of voting till 3 pm.

Interestingly, Pune constituency has recorded a very low voting percentage compared with other parts in western Maharashtra.

Voters preferred to vote early in the morning to beat the summer heat. As the day progressed, there was less number of voters seen at the polling booths.

Around 21 lakh voters who have names in the voter list can cast their votes in 1,944 polling booths in Pune constituency.
