Pune sizzles at 31 degrees Celsius

PUNE: As day temperature rises, the incresed heat is reducing the February chill in the city. The day temperature at Shivajinagar in Pune was reported at 31.6 degrees Celsius whereas the night temperature was 14 degrees Celsius on Monday. 

Day temperature in Pashan was reported at 31 degrees Celsius and at Lohegaon 32.7 degrees Celsius. 

The minimum temperature recorded at Pashan was 14.5 degrees Celsius and at Lohegaon the night temperature was 15.9 degrees Celsius.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the night temperature is expected to remain around 15 degrees Celsius till the end of this week. The day temperature is predicted at 30 degrees Celsius. Also, cloudy weather is expected on February 7 and 8 and on other days, the sky will remain clear, said the IMD.

The IMD predicted that Vidarbha may witness isolated rainfall between February 4 and 7. However, the rest of the State will witness dry weather during the same time. 

NATIONAL SCENARIO
On Monday, the lowest minimum temperature recorded across the plain was at 2.4 degrees Celsius at Amritsar in Punjab.

The weather department says dense fog is very likely in isolated parts over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on February 4. Cold wave conditions are very likely in isolated parts over Punjab during the same time. 

On February 4, thunderstorms accompanied with hail along with lightning are very likely at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and with lightning at isolated places over Odisha and Jharkhand.
