Pune temperature dips to 11 degrees Celsius

PUNE: With night and day temperature in the city reducing, Pune is again experiencing cold weather. On Thursday, Pune reported 11 degrees Celsius at night and 29.1 degrees Celsius during the day. Various parts of the State reported a decrease in night temperature. 

The lowest minimum temperature was reported at Nashik at 7.9 degrees Celsius on Thursday. As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), January is likely to end on a hazy and cloudy note for Pune.

The weather is likely to be cloudy and hazy till February 3. While night temperature will be around 15 degrees Celsius, the day temperature will remain around 28 degrees Celsius. 

On Thursday, the highest maximum temperature was reported at 32.5 degrees Celsius at Solapur.

As per the predictions made by IMD, across Maharashtra, Vidarbha may experience isolated rainfall on February 1 and 3. Rest of the State will have dry weather.

NATIONAL SCENARIO
The lowest minimum temperature recorded across the plains was 3.5 degrees Celsius at Sikar in east Rajasthan.

As per the IMD, dense fog is very likely at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on January 31. During the same time, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are very likely at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Cold wave conditions are very likely at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch on January 31.
