Pune, 9th March 2026: Traffic arrangements around Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk on Ganeshkhind Road have been revised after the completion of the double-decker flyover work in the area.

With the project now finished, the Pune Traffic Police have removed the temporary one-way traffic restrictions that were earlier imposed on nearby roads to manage congestion during construction.

The traffic changes had been implemented in the jurisdiction of the Chatushrungi Traffic Division as work on the metro corridor and the flyover was underway near Savitribai Phule Pune University.

To maintain smoother movement during construction, authorities had introduced one-way traffic on Pashan Road, Baner Road and Abhimanshree Society Road, forcing motorists to use alternative routes.

With the major work now completed, traffic on these roads has been restored to its earlier two-way system. According to the traffic police, vehicle movement from Acharya Anand Rishiji Chowk through Abhimanshree Society to Baner Road will now operate in both directions.

Similarly, traffic coming from Pashan through Abhimanshree Society up to Acharya Anand Rishiji Chowk has also been reopened for two-way movement.

Authorities have also allowed two-way traffic on the road connecting Abhimanshree Society with Pashan and Baner. Meanwhile, motorists travelling from Baner Phata towards Pashan via Abhimanshree Society have been advised to take a right turn through the Sakal Nagar area to reach their destinations.

Traffic officials said, “With the completion of the flyover work, earlier restrictions have been removed and two-way traffic has been restored on these routes.”

Officials expect that the revised traffic movement will reduce daily congestion in the Ganeshkhind Road corridor and improve commuting for motorists travelling between Baner, Pashan and the university area.
