Pune: Third-year law students of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) received shocking information when they tried to check for the papers submitted through their login for the recently conducted online exams. While the students had appeared for and submitted four papers, their login is showing only three papers as submitted. Several students complained about this to the university helpline but they are not receiving satisfactory answers.

Pune University has conducted final year exams for degree and postgraduate degree courses through online and offline mode. So far, examinations for more than 2400 subjects have been conducted while the exam for the remaining 500 subjects will be conducted in the first week of November.

The examination for the third year LLB course was recently conducted. Students appeared for four subjects including ‘Procedure Code’, ‘Administrative Law’, ‘Company Law’ and ‘Criminal Justice System’. These papers were submitted by students through their login and at that it was displaying information correctly. But when students checked their login again on Monday, it was displaying only three papers to be submitted. The subject of the Criminal Justice System was missing from the login display.

When students contacted the university helpline, they were not given satisfactory answers. Some students complained about this through email communication to the university, but they are yet to receive any reply from the university administration.

Students have demanded that the university should look into this matter seriously and ensure that students do not suffer unnecessarily due to some technical issues.
