According to the water supply department, the shutdown will affect all areas except those receiving water from the Bhama Askhed dam. The maintenance work will be carried out at key installations, including the Parvati old and new water treatment plants, Vadgaon water centre, Rajiv Gandhi pumping station, Warje and Lashkar water centres, along with associated reservoirs, pumping systems, and jack wells.

As a result, water supply will be completely cut off in large residential and commercial areas such as the Peth areas, Kothrud, Warje, Bavdhan, Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Aundh, Bopodi, Shivajinagar, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune Station area, Mundhwa, Parvati, Bibwewadi, Sahakarnagar, Kondhwa Khurd, Katraj, Dhankawadi, Ambegaon, Dhayari, Hingne, Dattawadi, Tilak Nagar, and several adjoining localities.

Several suburban pockets including Ambegaon Budruk and Khurd, Kharadi village areas, Chandan Nagar, Yerwada outskirts, Wanowrie-side localities, industrial zones near Shivane, SNDT area, and parts supplied through Khadakwasla jack well and booster pumping stations will also be impacted.

The civic body has urged residents to store sufficient water in advance and cooperate with the administration during the shutdown period. The PMC clarified that once the maintenance work is completed, water supply will be restored gradually on Friday morning, though at reduced pressure initially.
