Radisson Blu Pune Hinjawadi, Humjoli Foundation tie-up to empower women

PUNE: Radisson Blu Pune Hinjawadi, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative has tied up with Humjoli Foundation to support women through a workshop on February 10 on menstrual hygiene by eradicating ‘period poverty’ and replacing it with ‘period positivity’.

Women from economically poor background put their health at immense risk during menstruation.  

Pankaj Saxena, General Manager Radisson Blu Pune Hinjawadi said, “In our society, change will take place only when we create circles of support for the women around us. Through this association, we will lend our support in all possible ways to educate young girls and women of their basic rights and needs.”

Humjoli is a Pune-based foundation headed by Dr Sania Siddiqui. The Foundation has over 100 volunteers who are being trained on taking ‘Period Talk’ sessions in schools, rural areas, and other similar set-ups. Apart from taking sessions for women and girls, the foundation has specially designed modules for young boys as well.
