Report traffic rule violations through ‘Satark’ mobile app

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: The traffic branch of Pune city police has launched the Satark Punekar app, using which one can report about people who are found violating traffic rules. The app has been made available on Google Playstore.

The app will help in capturing location, date and time of the violation after photo of the driver or the vehicle is clicked. The control room will get the details and take action accordingly.

DCP (Traffic) Tejaswi Satpute said that people in Pune are interested in reporting various traffic rule violations, hence, this app was launched. “Also, traffic cops cannot remain present at all chowks in the city which are about 1,350. Hence, the app will be very helpful,” she added.
