Right-wing organisations to hold rally on March 28

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: A massive protest rally is going to be held by members of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan, an organisation headed by Sambhaji Bhide, in his support on March 28 across Maharashtra. Various right-wing organisations including Samasta Hindu Aghadi, Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janjagran Samiti will take part in the rally.

Members of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan claim that Bhide and Milind Ekbote, President of Samastha Hindu Aghadi, have been falsely implicated in the Koregaon-Bhima riots case and this rally is to protest against these false allegations. The rally will start from Shaniwarwada at 10.30 am on March 28 and end at the district collectorate. It will pass through Lal Mahal, Phadke Chowk and Narpatgiri Chowk.

Professor Parashar Mone, Coordinator of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan, Pune, said, "Bhide and Ekbote are nationalists and have always worked for welfare of the nation. We are taking out this rally against the people who have falsely implicated Bhide for their personal political mileage. People are going to join us in large numbers."

"We have demanded that false cases against Bhide and Ekbote be withdrawn. An inquiry should be conducted against those who told Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar to blame Bhide and Ekbote. A detailed inquiry should be conducted against those persons," added Mone.

In a press release issued by Shiv Pratishhtan Hindustan, they have stated that a day before riots erupted in Koregaon-Bhima, Elgar Parishad had organised at Shaniwarwada to create tension among communities. It further states that a detailed enquiry of Justice (Retd) BG Kolse Patil, JNU student leader Umar Khalid and Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mewani should be conducted by the police.
