Robbery attempt at ATM centre on SB Road

Pune: A robbery attempt took place on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday at an ATM centre of Punjab National Bank (PNB) situated on Senapati Bapat (SB) Road. A complaint in this regard was registered at Chatuhshringi police station. The complaint was filed by bank official Sujit Kumar Jha. According to the complaint, some unknown persons entered the PNB ATM situated on SB Road and tried to break it.

The accused persons entered the ATM and smashed the monitor of the ATM machine. They then tried to break open the safe cash box of the ATM machine and also damaged the CCTV camera. However, when the accused couldn’t break open the cash box, they left from there. According to the information provided by Chatuhshringi police, there is no accurate information whether the robbery attempt was done by one person or a group. The accused also smashed the CCTV camera so that nobody could identify them. However, police has initiated an investigation into the matter and claimed that they will nab the accused soon.

A case has been registered against the unknown accused at Chatuhshringi police station.
