Pune: The two-day Sakal Vastu property exhibition concluded on Sunday. Organised by Sakal Media Group, the Expo received good response from Puneties during the long weekend. Well-known builders from the city showcased more than 100 projects at Orchid-VITS Hotel in Balewadi.

A majority of the visitors were concerned about the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates, which will come into effect on July 1.
The realtors and builders patiently answered queries on GST asked by the visitors. Uday Kulkarni, Sales Manager of Meghasawana Construction, said, “Every visitor was asking about GST rates and some people want to get the agreement done before GST comes into effect from July 1. The response has been quite positive and people are giving a serious thought to buying properties.”

Mahesh Shinde, Sales Manager of Dream Home Construction, said, “We got good response at our stall during the expo and many people were interested in site visits as well. Along with it, every visitor was inquiring about GST and RERA rates. But these rates will not be applicable to those who purchase property and prepare the agreement with us before July 1.”
Shinde said that at the moment, 12 per cent is charged as tax at the time of purchase of properties.
