Saptarshi heads march to MP Kakade’s office

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: Yuvak Kranti Dal (Yukrand) activists and villagers of New Kopare agitated against MP Sanjay Kakade for the seventh time on Monday. Around 100 protesters expressed their discontent by shouting slogans and clanking plates in front of Sanjay Kakade’s office in Shivajinagar. Kumar Saptarshi, Founder of Yukrand, was also present at the site.

The activists gathered near Sambhaji Park off JM Road and marched towards MP Kakade’s office off Shirole Road. The march lasted for around two hours. This time, there were no detentions by the police as opposed to the last six times.

However, the protesters were disappointed at having received no response from Kakade. Yukrand activists have been protesting against the MP for the past couple of months for the rehabilitation of villagers of New Kopare.
