Sharad Pawar assures to intervene in Ring Road dispute

Pimpri: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has assured Ring Road affected people of Pimpri-Chinchwad that he will personally intervene in the matter. He said he will ask the government to call a meeting with the thousands of affected people to take a decision to save their homes.

Affected people from Bijlinagar, Thergaon, Pimple Gurav and Kasarwadi, who are facing demolition by the Pimpri-Chinchwad New Township Authority (PCNTDA) and the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and representatives of Ghar Bachao Samiti approached Pawar with their demands.

Delegation of Ghar Bachao Samiti, which comprises Rajendra Devkar, Rekha Bhole, Rajni Patil, Vijay Patil, Dhanaji Patil, Prashant Sapkal, Vishal Pawar, Rajashri Shivarkar, Pradip Pawar, Amar Adiyal and Hemlata Lande, approached Pawar at his residence in Baramati on Friday.

According to Devkar Pawar, Sharad Pawar called Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant Dalvi and took detailed information about the issue. In the past, Pawar has successfully intervened in a similar problem in Thane where hundreds of homes were saved.
