Someshwar School Students Mark Post Day With Field Visit

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: Students of Vidya Pratishthan’s Someshwar English Medium School (CBSE) observed National Post Day on October 9 by visiting a post office to see its functioning.

Around 90 students from Class IV and three teachers visited the Someshwar Post Office where the postmaster explained the process of sending postcards, inland letters and other aspects. He also informed the students about various schemes and facilities of the post office.

The postmaster also said that the use of post office is diminishing because of the profuse use of mobile phone.

All the students eagerly asked various questions to the postmaster and experienced the joy of sending letters to their dear ones on account of Diwali. This field visit was undertaken under the guidance of Principal Sachin Pathak and teachers Pradnya Bhosale, Shital Phargade and Shubhangi Barawkar.
