SPPU, Satara dist admn conduct skill devp workshop

PUNE: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Satara district administration conducted a skill development workshop for women of Naigaon.

The workshop was held on December 17 and 18. Around 70 women from in and around Naigaon had participated in the workshop.

The university will provide help in skill and development of the village. The women present at the workshop requested the varsity to provide guidance and skill development workshops in food processing, career counselling, retail marketing, tailoring and fashion technology, packaging and computer training.

Satara District Officer Shweta Singal, Satara district skill development employment and entrepreneurship centre’s assistant director Sachin Jadhav and members of Naigaon attended the workshop.  It was held by pro-vice-chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University NS Umarani, university skill development centre’s additional director, Captain CM Chitale and Smita Sovani and coordinators Pooja More and Dilip Oak.
