SSOU organises skill conference in the city

PUNE: The Symbioisis Skill and Open University has organised Skills Conference-2018 on 'Opportunities in High-Growth Sectors' in association with Indo-German Chamber of Commerce on December 15-16.

The conference focuses on the evaluation of niche sectoral areas where future growth opportunities exist. It will bring together top experts from sectors including Innovations and Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Manufacturing, IT and ITES, Healthcare - Pharma - Biomedical and Medical Technology, Sports and Wellness, Education and Training, Oil and Power, Energy and Natural Gas, Food Processing and Allied Services, Hospitality - Tourism and Event Management, Fashion and Apparels, Gems and Jewellery, Agriculture - Manufacturing and Services, Media and Broadcasting, Branding and Advertising, BFSI and Construction, Infrastructure and Architecture.

The conference has been designed to analyse the changing landscape of the industry and emerging job trends in various high growth sectors, learning the opportunities and challenges for companies operating in these sectors and identifying future job roles and skilling requirements in various sectors. Accordingly, the university will design the syllabus to help industries.

“Being a skill university, it focuses more on hands on experience to students. This conference is going to be perfect assistance to youngsters of this State and rest of the country too,” said Swati Mujumdar, Pro Chancellor, SSOU.
