St Joseph celebrates its annual day event

Pune: St Joseph High School, Pashan, recently celebrated its annual day event, at the school premises. To mark the ongoing celebration of the bicentenary year of the Congregation of the Religious of Jesus and Mary, the theme of the annual day was ‘Through the Eyes of St Claudine’.St Claudine was a French Roman Catholic professed religious and the founder of the Religious of Jesus and Mary. 

Dancer and actress Ashwini Pawar was the chief guest for the evening.

The skit presented by the students was a combination of dance and drama. While presenting the life story of Claudine, the girls also gave dance performances based on various values. The students of Std V performed a dance based on the value of Joy and Std VI on Compassion, Std VII on Forgiveness. While the students of Std VIII performed dance on Courage and Fortitude, those of Std IX performed based on Charity and Love. The concluding dance by Std X reflected the values of Strength. 

Before the performance of the main by the girls, there was prize distribution ceremony where the students with extraordinary achievements in academics as well as extra-curricular activities were felicitated.
